Notre Dame Global (NDG) is proud to offer the following grants and programs to help build, sustain, and encourage academic and research collaborations with universities in Asia.
Asia Guest Scholar/Artist Partnership Program
The goal of the Asia Guest Scholar/Artist Partnership Program is to partner with on-campus centers/institutes/departments to bring to Notre Dame guest scholars and artists from Asia with outstanding reputations in their fields. During the visit, the guest scholar/artist would pursue their own research/art and discuss future collaborations, while engaging in the intellectual/artistic life and community at Notre Dame.
Asia Research Collaboration Grant
With generous support from University benefactors, the Asia Research Collaboration Grant provides funding to build, sustain, and encourage academic and research collaboration (research projects, faculty and graduate student exchange, conferences, seminars, etc.) with universities in Asia. Funding is allocated for proposals that involve research collaborations with universities in China, Hong Kong, India, and Taiwan. This grant program supports the University’s broader strategy to promote academic cooperation in Asia by building upon existing partnerships and creating new opportunities for research and scholarly exchange.
East Asia Research Development Grant
As one of Notre Dame Global's Global Network Research Development Grants, which link to the University’s global locations, the East Asia Research Development Grant funds travel to East Asia to establish new research collaborations as well as reinvigorate and deepen existing ones. Funding requests can be made up to $10,000.
