Catherine Leung

Director

Catherine Leung has served as the director of Notre Dame Hong Kong since 2014. Leung works closely with admissions, advancement, the alumni association and various campus departments. Globally, she develops and manages relationship with local high schools, universities, government agencies, NGOs and corporations. In the past two years, Leung organized Notre Dame’s first Global Forum in Hong Kong and founded the Notre Dame Parent Associations in Shanghai and Beijing. She has also established international summer internships in Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Notre Dame, Leung was the director of the University of Southern California (USC) in China for 12 years, leading offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Managing a wide range of university operations in Asia, she devoted herself to serving students, parents, alumni, donors, and friends of USC. In this role she also organized the USC Global Conferences in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, and Taiwan; and the first off-campus Freshmen Orientation in Asia. In 2005, Leung started the first joint EMBA program between USC and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. To strengthen the university's global network, she established the first International Parents' Association. Capitalizing on the growing wealth and success of the graduates and their families, she cultivated them as university donors to support USC’s US$6 billion fundraising campaign.

Prior to joining USC, Leung was a senior consultant with Deloitte & Touche LLP in Los Angeles, specializing in the financial service industry. She supervised consulting and audit engagements, constructed and presented business solutions, developed budgets, and trained team members. Catherine has also worked with the HSBC group, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, and W. I. Carr.

Leung completed her undergraduate education at USC's Marshall School of Business, with an emphasis in finance. She then received a master’s in accounting from USC's Leventhal School of Accounting. Leung is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma, the Honor Society for AACSB Accredited Business Programs.
